From Nov 29, 1996 to Mar 28, 1997, visitors to Bagism had the opportunity to write a letter to Yoko Ono asking that she reconsider the decision by her laywers to shut down my former John Lennon site. The first three pages of these letters were mailed to Yoko Ono but I never received a reply.

Surely you have more than enough money for ten thousand life times to have to worry about financial repurcussions from a page like this! Come on! Comments: about 2 weeks ago i bought a cd that had well that said it was johns last words before he was shot!he said that before he got to old that he would like to make one more album! im wondering if he had that you might no of any music that he was going to put on this album .if so im wondering if you might want to give the songs to George Harrison or someone like that to clear up the sound and if you did decide to bring out this album it would be infact a tribute to john lennon. Whenever I visited the room I always found the participants to be debating and discussing important aspects of your and John's message to the world, and building on it with their own messages of world peace and love. Comments: Dear Yoko, Hello, my name is Andrew, and I am in my first year at Indiana University. Tonight I logged on to the computer and clicked the link that has brought me so much information about John's life and works, enlightenment about his ideas and ideals, and fellowship with others who seem to be in my tree. But tonight, all that I found was a stark grey page telling me that it was all gone. My mouth fell open and my heart sank. It took me a few moments to believe that this great travesty was true. Only a few moments ago, I had read John's words that "Music is everybody's possesion. It's only publishers who think that people own it." Although Mr. Choukri's site didn't contain John's music itself, it captured much of the spirit and message of love that filled his music. This was not to Mr. Choukri's financial profit, and in fact had inspired me in the past months to purchase "Plastic Ono Band," "Walls and Bridges," "Shaved Fish" and "Double Fantasy." It is too bad that the images that represent the larger work of John have now been deemed a sole possession and not a public joy. I implore you to please give Mr. Choukri and others like him to spread John's work through the medium of the Internet. The part that upsets me is that it was a tribute to the life of John Lennon, your late husband. He was a man who, though his music and ideas, spoke volumes for not only his, but several generations. I have looked at other sites for John, but this was the best on the Web. It was a place where fans could come together and talk about the life of John. I was not alive when the Beatles were still a band and I really had never heard your husband's name until his tragic death in 1980. He was especially helpful in providing pictures of Strawberry Fields, seeing that I couldn't be in New York myself, I was at least looking forward to looking at the pictures on the eighth and wishing I could be there, laying a rose in the name of Lennon. Comments: Dear Ms. Lennon, In 1965 I was a 10 Year old boy with no real intrest in music, I'm sure I was not alone in this. I heard a song, a voice, and devoloped an intrest in a group of guys called Beatles. I had no idea the impact the music would have on me, and the World. I grieve much, that such a talented artist was taken before his time. I believe John had much to say. I believe many people truly believed that "all you need is love" or "give peace a chance". IMAGINE... what a concept. We the public, fans and others who have a serious intrest in what John was about are limited to what we are allowed to have, or thrown. Please reconcider allowing John's memory to live on a vision of what this wonferful man of peace was about. We the fans will never know John as you have. We respect your right to your decision. Comments: I went to this site looking for basic lyrics and chords for John Lennon's songs. I want to play them for family and friends over the hollidays. I am sure I could figure them out myself but it would be nice to see all his work in one place. I really love the message in his music and want to pass it on to people who would hear me play. I don't think you are in any danger of anyone stealing from you by making his work accessable to the masses. I think there are millions who would love to imitate John Lennon with there guitar in front of a mirror. Can you deny them access to the basic lyrics and chords with which to imagine?

Sam's page was a welcome surprise to me. It presented images of John which were real and not sanitized for MTV. Comments: I am just a kid from New Jersey.I face many injustices in school. Iam a wheelchair kid who doesn't like to talk.I use the computer all day. I like the idea of communicating more freely, frankly no one cares. Everyone just doesn't care about the future. Ever since the 80's america's youth has grown into itself. They don't care if someone gets beat up, frankly they like it. We almost saw some consciousness brought about in the early 90's. Now it just faded away. If you say the environment every one says, oh just a bunch of boring stuff. You say world peace they say it didn't work. And worst of all we say prejudice, and they will turn around and say racial slurrs. We should have a new consciousness movement.And this site kind of did help counteract our youth's ignorance. There was almost a consciousness movement.

Comments: John Lennon has a legacy that should be carried on, and that was what this web site was trying to do. Some lawyers who probably don't give a flying Lucy what Lennon was like decided to take away this web site. Well, in order to carry on Lennon's legacy, we need permission to use some stuff that the lawyers said they couldn't. I know what I'm talking about--I I've read over 20 books on the Beatles, and have seven of their albums, and tons of memorobilia. I know more facts about Lennon and the Beatles than just about everyone. I know the story behind Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds, (one of my favorites) and I Am The Walrus (another great one).
