Well, you would have been 60 this time out. I can't begin to tell you the impact you had on my life. Or how much sadness your premature loss has brought me over the last 20 years. My 7 year old is now a fan of yours. It makes me very sad I can't point to your picture and say "John's still making music and happily living in New York." Instead I have to tell her "John's dead. He was shot to death." That just breaks my heart everytime I have to say the words. It amazes me how many kids and people much younger than myself discover you and the other three each year. I am old enough to remember the Beatles. It was a magical time. The thing that amazes me is how the kids seem to sense that magic even 30 years on. You should be here with us. You deserved those peaceful later years with Yoko. God knows you guys went thru hell on account of the fans and press. I guess in a way you are here since your music is everywhere.
